We are pretty excited about this one.  Our Fey gown was published in Tulle bridal magazine!  The citrus inspired photo shoot styled by Bon Wed and photographed by Chelsea Scanlan was selected as a feature in Tulle magazines first issue.  One of the photos of our Fey gown even made the cover!  Head to this link to see the magazine spread!

These gorgeous photos were taken by Chelsea Scanlan Photography for a feature shoot that was designed by Bon Wed event planners.  We were honored when they asked to use our Austen gown for their garden inspired shoot.  This gown lends itself well to spring/summer weddings held outdoors.  The Austen dress looks great with a garden, beach or backyard for its backdrop.  Style Me Pretty must have agreed because they featured this beautiful shoot on their blog, go check it out!

Illume bride Kylee could not be easier to work with.  She is a perky ball of energy and her excitement to marry the man of her dreams radiated from her.  She contacted us with the vision of wearing our Esther gown on her wedding day.  At our first appointment it was the first and last gown she tried on!  I tired to talk her into trying on some other style for fun but Kylee didn’t need to.  That is what I like, a bride who knows what she wants.  She has good instincts because the proportions of our Esther gown were perfect on her cute figure.  She nailed the styling and looked classically stunning on her day!

Miss PGM size 4

We welcomed a new member of the family this week!  The photos on the left are taken at the PGM warehouse where they sale dress forms for men, women and children in every size and shape.  They even sale dress forms in half scale for students to use.  The first pattern making class i took we used half scale forms.  Dress forms are used for draping, a form of pattern making.  Most people have seen them used on Project Runway.  I can’t wait to start creating on my new lady:)

Mckenzie in Austen Gown

This beautiful bride McKenzie is young, happy and fun.  For her summer wedding she wanted a dress that reflected her personality.  Our Austen gown was the perfect fit.  It has a youthful ease about it.  The French lace of this gown is light and drapes nicely on the body.  Mckenzie has a darling figure and wanted to show off her fab curves.  The fit’n flare silhouette of the gown did just that.  Fitted through the bodice this silhouette shows off the waist, hips and buttocks with the volume in the skirt starting just below.  We are proud to have Mckenzie as an Illume bride!

L.A. Textile

photo 2As a designer textiles are what most inspire new design ideas.  Visiting the L.A. textile show this week is something I look forward to every year.  The creative juices are flowing and I am feeling inspired by all the gorgeous fabrics!  Loving my craft today; now time to create!
